when you put more thought into a short & shitty text post about swag than you ever would put into an essay you know you’re doing uni life wrong

”swag” is not about what you wear physically, it’s about how you present yourself; the image you portray of yourself.

In that text post the person asks “Does this mean I’m a hipster and had “swag” before Kanye?” and really?? no, it does not mean that you had “swag” or there literally would’ve been no problem.

“swag” is not a thing that you automatically get by wearing branded clothes or snap-backs or whatever is hyped up nowadays. A lot of kids by into these hypes thinking they’ll get swag but then they end up looking like little shits that buy branded clothing.

Swag is not about what you wear but more about how you portray yourself in the clothing… It’s the initial reaction you get when you see someone and think “damn, they look really cool” or when you feel cool as fuck when wearing something that suits you.

It’s not about just conforming to all these hyped up fashion trends but more about looking good. swag is literally about looking cool and being cool. You could argue that kanye west doesn’t have swag because he isn’t cool but it doesn’t me he doesn’t look cool.

that’s what i have to say about swag.

Really can’t wait….All the kids who thought people like me were weird for wearing leather jackets or all black with metal band names mocked us.

I’ve been rocking the leather pants and metal band logo for as long as I can remember. Does this mean I’m a hipster and had “swag” before Kanye?

Its not the matter that he’s black. The issue is that he is a mainstream pop/hip-hop person so because of what he wears is “swag” to the mainstream sensation they’re all gonna wear these things which at one point which I was insulted for wearing all the time. So my problem is that I’m gonna see people who mocked me for wearing this attire are now wearing it cause its “hip”.
